Structural Engineering
Noriker Consulting Engineers Ltd. is a small structural engineering practice based in North Yorkshire, serving a national client base.
In addition to the in house capacity of our chartered and apprentice engineers we maintain a strong network of allied professionals. These include drafters, contractors, hydrologists and geotechnical engineers who we draw on to help deliver a top quality service, all underpinned by our professional indemnity insurance.
As we are a small company, you can be certain that every project receives a high level of attention, service and characteristic dedication and is directly overseen by an experienced chartered structural engineer. We are committed to seeing projects to structural completion, from small and simple to complex and unusual. We believe that this can best be provided by a small organisation.

Structural Design
Noriker's design services include structural analysis of steel, concrete, masonry and timber, to Eurocodes and British standards, where appropriate.
Past projects have included design of building structures such as industrial facilities, utilities infrastructure, offices, hotels and new dwellings, plus bespoke structures for industry, often with a challenging brief involving structural dynamics.
We also work on smaller scale projects such as structural calculations for extensions, re-development and loft conversions to satisfy building control.
We aim to distil the complex into elementary elegance. We strive for pragmatic and affordable solutions.
Richard Lines MEng, PhD, CEng, MIStructE
Richard is a chartered structural engineer with experience and expertise in a wide variety of structural engineering challenges.
He has a first class degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Sheffield, specialising in mechanics of structures and machines, the strength of materials, fluid mechanics and structural dynamics. Richard also holds a doctorate in offshore structures from the University of Cambridge.
Richard has a diverse CV including coastal engineering, offshore construction logistics, utilities infrastructure and general practice structural engineering. Richard is fascinated by the pursuit of engineering solutions to both everyday and complex problems in structural analysis, and looks forward to working with you.
Omar Badawi Apprentice Engineer
Omar is a graduate of Ermystead's Grammar School in Skipton where he attained A* in four A Levels. He is now an accomplished apprentice working towards a degree in Structural Engineering.
